Based on the incredible 720S, the latest LT has everything going for it, from the flying zero to 60 start in a mere 2.8 seconds to the radically lightened weight and lower ride. In fact, the 765LT Spider uses innovative aerodynamics to create 25 percent more downforce than the 720S. Just 765 of these incredible automobiles will ever be produced. For the lucky few this is a new chapter in their relationship with their car. In essence, it’s the lightest and quickest machine in its already light and quick automotive segment. And it’s gorgeous from any direction. Its highlights include an increase in engine output to 755 horsepower thanks to a higher-capacity fuel pump, and a beefed-up head gasket, and forged aluminum pistons. The free-flowing quad-tailpipe titanium exhaust system removed 8.3 pounds of weight when compared to the system on the 720S. Lightweight race seats, ultralight alloy wheels, polycarbonate rear side glazing, and even the removal of interior carpeting also removed pounds. If you want to go even lighter McLaren can remove air conditioning or infotainment systems. But most buyers will want to add a bit of luxury, including plusher sports seats, parking sensors, a front-axle lift, and a 12-speaker Bower & Wilkins audio system. This is the most powerful LT ever made with 765PS and 800Nm of torque from a 4.0 liter twin-turbocharged V8 and optimized gear ratios. Built with Formula 1 grade materials. And like every Longtail before it, the 765LT is totally focused on maximizing its incredible power. Through obsessive lightness and better aerodynamics, perfect mid-engine, rear-wheel drive balance, and track-focused dynamics.
